The number one ingredient in commercially produced soaps seems to be sodium tallowate. This product is nothing more than slaughterhouse waste. It can include internal organs, brain matter, etc. This is then rendered for the tallow. Bottom line is…it’s cheap but not good for your skin. Most commercially produced soaps are in fact detergents and cheap to produce.
Also look for these ingredients in your commercially produced soap, things you will NEVER find in ANY of our products:

Tetrasodium EDTA: a synthetic preservative which can cause eye irritation and irritation to the mucous membranes.
Sodium Cocoylisethionate: a synthetic detergent
BHT: a synthetic antioxidant to keep oils from going rancid and when ingested is implicated in tumor formation and liver enlargement in rodent tests
